CHICAGO, IL, NOVEMBER 11, 2014: OBAN scores another PGA Tour victory and top ten finish at the Sanderson Farms Championship held in Jackson, Mississippi. The winner played two Kiyoshi Gold shafts, finishing the tournament with a 2 shot lead at 16 under par. Playing a Kiyoshi Gold 65 X in his TaylorMade Jetspeed driver and a 75 X in his 3-wood, the Canadian fired a 6 under par 66 on Sunday to clinch his first Tour victory.
“Our success on Tour reflects our commitment to design the best performing golf shafts in the world, and amps up our focus on product development as we prepare for the 2015 season,” commented Pete Sanchez, OBAN’s Senior Vice President of Business Development. “We are ecstatic to see the number of tour professionals embracing our shafts continue to grow each year. In addition to the tournament winner, we had an additional 5 players finish in the Top 25.”
OBAN’s Kiyoshi Gold was designed to complement the performance characteristics of the new low spin driver heads. Released in 2013, the Kiyoshi Gold has an active bend profile that allows for high launch and mid spin characteristics.
