KATY, TX – Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club, a Heritage Golf Group property, raised over $130,000 to benefit Birdies for the Brave®. Proceeds from the event will benefit the PGA TOUR charity, Birdies for the Brave, a national military outreach initiative dedicated to raising funds and awareness for military homefront groups that provide critical services to meet the specialized needs of military members, wounded veterans, and their families.
Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club hosted their annual Birdies for the Brave golf event with a full field of 132 golfers. During the Opening Ceremonies, golfers were welcomed with a Military Presentation prior to the shotgun start and several active and retired veterans in attendance participated in the event. Their participation brought modern-day, real-world military heroism to life through the round of golf. Following tournament play the post-round reception featured dinner for all participants, as well as a silent auction, raffles and an awards presentation.

Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club is one of four Heritage Golf Group properties to host Birdies for the Brave fundraisers this year. Since 2008, the Heritage Golf Group Collection of Clubs has been dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the Birdies for the Brave program, a primary element of Heritage Golf Group’s philanthropic endeavors, and has raised more than $2.4 million in support of the military homefront charities.
