Sea Island, Georgia – Nov. 12, 2014 – John Wade has been named Head Golf Professional at The Lodge at Sea Island Golf Club, Sea Island, Georgia. A Class A member of the PGA since 2004, Wade will be in charge of all golf operations at The Lodge, which is located between Plantation and Seaside golf courses, two of Sea Island’s three championship courses. Seaside recently hosted the fifth annual McGladrey Classic, a FedEx Cup tournament on the PGA TOUR.
“I am very excited to have John join our team to lead golf operations at The Lodge,” said Brannen Veal, director of golf. “Throughout his career, he has been widely recognized for the outstanding leadership and professionalism that he brings to Sea Island.”
Prior to Sea Island, Wade was most recently head golf professional at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Georgia, and held the same role at Gateway Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida and at Naples Grand Golf Club in Naples. Florida. A graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, Wade has won 17 championships in a variety of competitions during his career, including the South Florida PGA Professional National Championship.
