Rye, N.Y. (Nov. 12, 2014) – The PGA of America has appointed Meredith A. Bach as Corporate Hospitality Sales Manager for the inaugural KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, to be held at Westchester Country Club, June 9-14, 2015.
Bach, who has an extensive background in event management, sports marketing and communications, will oversee all aspects of the championship hospitality venues, from sales to quality of service, and serve as the primary on-site contact for all corporate clients.
An accomplished event manager with more than 20 years of experience in finance, fashion, sports and media industries, Bach has developed strong relationships with high-profile athletes and industry leaders. Bach worked in a similar capacity with the United States Tennis Association for its U.S. Open corporate hospitality programs, and has been successful in developing and utilizing strategic partnerships for a broad range of world-class events.
A former American Express senior manager who specialized in global advertising and brand management, Bach also was the Polo Ralph Lauren senior director of sports marketing, who administered events for golf and tennis brands, working with various LPGA stars.
The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will be the first women’s major run by the PGA of America, which operates the annual PGA Championship and bi-annual Ryder Cup competition.
Carrying on the 60-year legacy of the LPGA Championship, KPMG, the PGA of America and the LPGA have joined forces to create the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, the first-of-its-kind major championship. The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship brings together a world-class, annual major golf championship with a women’s leadership summit and an ongoing community initiative to inspire and develop new generations of female leaders.
