Stafford, VA – Rick Schuller, PGA, John Francisco, PGA, and Jim Estes, PGA all qualified for the 76th Senior PGA Championship this past weekend. Each of the three Middle Atlantic PGA Professionals finished in the top 35 at the 26th Senior PGA Professional National Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. The 2014 Middle Atlantic PGA Player of the Year, Schuller, of Swaders Sports Park in Chesterfield, Va., tied for second place after he posted a 72-hole total of 12-under par 276. Schuller finished with 21 birdies (tied for first), including a stretch where he made birdie on six of the first seven holes in his third round. Finishing tied for seventh at 8-under par 280 was the 2014 Middle Atlantic PGA Senior Player of the Year, John Francisco, PGA of Piney Branch Golf and Country Club in Upperco, Md. Jim Estes, PGA of Olney Golf Park in Olney, Md., posted a 72-hole total of 3-under par 285 and finished tied for 18th. A common theme with Schuller, Francisco, and Estes was their great success hitting greens in regulation (GIR). Schuller and Francisco tied for third in GIR, while Estes hit 16 of 18 in his third round. The 76th Senior PGA Championship will be May 21-24, 2015 at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana.
