BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Aerotech Golf, maker of the No. 1 graphite iron shafts in golf, scored multiple Top 10s this weekend on the PGA and LPGA Tours playing SteelFiber shafts.

Three players with Aerotech’s SteelFiber graphite shafts in their hybrid clubs finished in the Top 10 at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Mexico, taking fifth-, sixth- and ninth-place. In addition to this weekend’s success on the PGA Tour, a South Korean rising star on the LPGA Tour played SteelFiber i80 graphite shafts in her irons for a T7 finish at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.

“SteelFiber shafts are specifically designed to provide greater vibration dampening and reduce player fatigue, while at the same time delivering stability and increased distance. These performance benefits are some of the reasons that SteelFiber is the No. 1 graphite iron shaft on all the professional tours,” says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf. “But they are not just for the pros. Golfers of all skill levels can enjoy these benefits. SteelFiber shafts are available as custom options with all the major golf equipment brands, including Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, Bridgestone and many others.”

Well known for delivering the power of graphite and the stabilty of steel, SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.

SteelFiber has had a record breaking year so far in 2014 with seven wins – three on the PGA Tour and two each on the Champions and LPGA Tours. In 2013, SteelFiber chalked up five wins on the PGA TOUR and two more on the Champions Tour. Players with SteelFiber shafts also ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Season Points at the end of the regular season. SteelFiber shafts were also No. 6 and No. 12 in FedEx Cup Playoff Points; and ended 2013 overall as No. 3 and No. 5 on the PGA Money List; Nos. 8 and 9 in official world rankings; and tied for first and fourth in Top 10 finishes.

Aerotech Golf shafts are available as custom options with many nationally celebrated golf club manufacturers such as Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, Nike Golf, Bridgestone Golf, Wilson, Cleveland Golf, Miura, Srixon, KZG, Nakashima and Scratch Golf. Aerotech Golf shafts are also available through professional golf clubfitters around the world. Aerotech Golf is a proud supporter of the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP) and the International Clubmakers Guild (ICG).
