Women’s Golf Coaches Association meeting to feature EWGA
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association), the largest women-focused national amateur golf association in the United States, is pleased to be given the opportunity to introduce their “Grads to Golf™” program at the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) annual meeting on December 9, 2014 in Las Vegas. It is expected that more than 200 of the nations’ top collegiate women’s golf coaches will be in attendance.
“We are excited about the opportunity to launch our Grads to Golf program nationwide,” said EWGA Director of Player Development Le Ann Finger. “The program is designed to promote leadership development and to welcome MBA students at colleges and universities nationwide with an opportunity to learn and play the game of golf. Students will be able to use golf to lead to additional business opportunities, networking and relationship building while recognizing the importance of golf in the business world.”
As part of Finger’s presentation, she will share the successful pilot of the Grads to Golf program held this year at the University of Tennessee. The program includes classroom presentations, golf instruction, mentoring and on-course practical experience. The EWGA is offering the curriculum to help students use golf to enhance and advance their professional careers and leadership development skills. Colleges and universities with MBA programs are welcoming the opportunity to partner with the EWGA to offer students the ability to learn the game.
