(Moorpark, Ca.) – The USA Junior National Golf Team announces its partnership with Rustic Canyon Golf Course as a brand new certified USA Junior National Team Training Center.

Beginning in March 2015, USA Junior Golf Team West Coach Dan Martin will provide coaching and competitive opportunities to USA Junior National Team members at Rustic Canyon Golf Course. Three of the five USA Junior National Team programs – Future Stars, Pre-Elite, and Elite will be featured at the Dan Martin Golf Academy at Rustic Canyon.

USA Junior National Team curriculum and world-class instruction at Rustic Canyon Golf Course is an enticing combination for juniors seeking a structured pathway to reach their full potential in golf. USA Junior National Team members will receive customized technical, tactical, physical and mental training as they transition through the benchmarks of the USA Junior National Team curriculum.

Dan Martin, a PGA Class A Teaching Professional, is a US Kids Golf Master Kids Teacher and has been the leader in Junior Golf Development in Ventura County for the last 10 years. Dan specializes in developing competitive junior golfers for success as high school golfers, on local and national junior golf tours, and in collegiate golf. “I’m really looking forward to being a part of the USA Junior Golf Team Program. The curriculum and structure is world class. The kids in our area that participate are really going to thrive in this program.” USA Junior Golf Team Director, Tom Relf is excited to add Dan and Rustic Canyon to their line up. “Dan has developed a wonderful reputation and following in the region. He will be a wonderful addition to our line up of outstanding coaches delivering our curriculum around the country”!

Future Stars teams are for athletes age eleven and older who have displayed a passion for the game and possess experience in competitive golf events. Team members will meet two-to-three times weekly for coaching sessions led by Certified USA National Team coaches and are eligible to participate in regional training camps.

USA National Team Coaches identify prospective Pre-Elite team members based on their performance in USA National Golf Camps, high school golf competitions, or state and local junior tournaments. These players consistently score in the mid 70s. Work ethic and attitude are also important traits. Like Future Stars, Pre-Elite juniors will meet two-to-three times per week with certified coaches and may participate in regional camps.

Selection to the Elite Team is an honor reserved for the most talented, polished, and hard-working individuals. USA National Team Coaches invite prospective Elite Team members based on their performance in USA National Golf Camps or national junior tournaments. Our Elite Team members enjoy competitive success at the local, state, and national levels. Elite Team members meet two times weekly throughout each training season, participate in Regional and National training camps, and are eligible to qualify for and compete in Regional and International Team Matches. Elite Team athletes are also eligible to participate in our Elite Team High Performance Camps throughout the year.
