Atwal rallies to win Asian Tour’s final tournament by a single stroke
IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 22, 2014) – Fourteen Golf’s Arjun Atwal won the Asian Tour’s season-ending Dubai Open, sinking a birdie on the final hole to win by a single stroke at The Els Club Dubai.
Atwal entered the par-5 18th trailing by one shot. Paired with the then-leader’s bogey and Atwal’s birdie, he rallied to take the lead and the Dubai Open title, marking his first tournament championship since the PGA TOUR’s 2010 Wyndham Championship.
Atwal finished the day 6-under par and 16-under for the tournament. The 41-year-old had two Fourteen RM-21 wedges in his bag.
