In the spirit in which Classics of Golf co-founders Herbert Warren Wind and Robert S. Macdonald presented new Forewords and Afterwords to introduce people to the world’s greatest golf books, the Classics of Golf YouTube Channel expands its stewardship of golf’s great books to video and online media.
Seven new video segments from legendary New York Times sportswriter Dave Anderson have been added to the Classics of Golf YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/user/classicsog
Recently at Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, NJ, Mr. Anderson was kind enough to share his thoughts on Dan Jenkins, Dave Anderson, Jack Nicklaus, Gene Sarazen, the 1977 British Open, George Plimpton and the unique joys of writing on golf.
Other segments already available on the channel includes commentary from Robert S. Macdonald, Bob Trebus (President of The Tillinghast Association and Co-Historian at Baltusrol Golf Club) and John Gomez (President of the NJ Club Manager’s Association and Club Manager at Echo Lake CC).
Additional videos from other golf notables will be published regularly.
