San Diego, CA. – Heritage Golf Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Wiebe as the new General Manager of Champions Retreat Golf Club, located just minutes from the golf capital of the world – Augusta, Georgia. Wiebe comes to this position with over 19 years in the golf industry. He is certified as a Class ‘A’ PGA Golf Professional, Canadian PGA Class ‘A’ Professional and a Level 2 Instructor certified by the Titleist Performance Institute. Wiebe has been honored with numerous awards; including the Horton Smith Award (2013), Bill Strausbaugh Award (2012) and Merchandiser of the Year (2011).

Wiebe graduated from Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina with a degree in Business Administration. While attending college, Wiebe served as an Assistant Professional at Carman Golf & Country Club. After college, he served as the Head Golf Professional at St. Georges’ Golf & Country Club in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Early in his career, Wiebe learned about golf in his role as an intern at Pinehurst Resort. He also served as an apprentice at both Country Club of North Carolina and Pine Ridge Golf Club. Wiebe gained further experience through his role as First Assistant at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts for four years.
