(Allendale, NJ) – 4D Motion Sports, the company behind the award winning PutterWheel, announced today that it will unveil a prototype of a fully mobile, wireless, full-body motion capture system at the 2015 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 20-23, 2015, in Orlando, FL, exhibiting in Booth #3409.
4D Motion is a network of small, lightweight wireless wearable sensors that can be placed on all parts of the body and the golf club, and can be worn anywhere, including the golf course. The golfer’s setup position and swing data are captured in 3D and sent wirelessly to a smart phone or tablet where swing paths, angles, club measurements and more can be rotated and analyzed in the palm of the hand.
“We designed our new motion capture system to be the best combination of complete body and club motion capture, simplicity of use, mobility and affordability,” said Sang Kim, CEO and Founder of 4D Motion Sports.
4D Motion also provides golf instructors with a new dimension of analysis and student-teacher communication. The 3D image of the golfer’s swing shown on the mobile device can be rotated and viewed from any angle, and with the corresponding data. Instructors are able to show, comment on and review the student’s swing in a way that has never been done before. Unlike other multi-sensor systems which need to connect to a computer, 4D Motion’s mobility allows swings to be recorded and analyzed anywhere.
Attendees will be able to try the 4D Motion system, as well as the PutterWheel, at Demo Day at Tee #3 and at booth #3409 during the show. 4D Motion will also be on display in the New Product Zone.
