Tinley Park, IL, January 15, 2015- Bettinardi Golf, makers of the world’s finest golf products, today announced it has reached an agreement with PGA TOUR Professional Jim Herman. Herman, who is currently ranked inside the top 100 on the 2014-2015 FedEx Cup points list will play a Bettinardi Putter and represent the company’s fashionable milled belt buckle, bag tag, ball marker, and divot tool throughout the season.
“I am really excited for my new partnership with Bettinardi Golf,” Herman said. “The precision and attention to detail that Bettinardi pours into all of their products, as well as the success they have had on TOUR in recent years, is why I chose to join the Bettinardi Team.”
The success that Herman speaks of is the nine wins registered by Bettinardi putters worldwide, including four on the PGA Tour since 2013. “Our commitment to the PGA Tour and the best players in the world is something that Bettinardi Golf holds in very high regard,” says Robert Bettinardi, President/CEO of Bettinardi Golf. “Adding a player of Jim Herman’s quality and character to our already accomplished list of PGA Tour Professionals, will only mean great things for our company moving forward.”
About Jim Herman: Herman was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the University of Cincinnati and racked up four collegiate titles before turning pro in the summer of 2000. After spending a few years in Florida playing the mini tours and attempting to get through PGA Tour Q-School, Jim took a job as an Assistant Pro at Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey. It was here where Herman would begin his very close friendship with Donald Trump. The support that Mr. Trump has shown Jim over the years has given him the confidence needed to make it to the PGA Tour.
Since joining the PGA Tour in 2011, Jim has made 70 starts, making 39 cuts, with nine top 25 and two top 10 finishes. His career earnings have now surpassed $2 million.
Jim is currently ranked 81st in the FedEx Cup standings. In the 2014-2015 season, he has finished in the top 25 in two of his first five starts. Herman also holds the current low round on Tour this year when he fired a 62 during the 3rd round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, NV.
