Tinley Park, IL, January 20, 2015- Bettinardi Golf, makers of the world’s finest golf products, would like to congratulate brand advocate Matt Kuchar on his T-3 finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Kuchar finished with a 13-under par total at the beautiful Waialae CC in Honolulu, HI.
Matt’s high finish can be accredited to his wonderful work with the putter. He finished the week 9th in strokes gained putting and recorded only one 3-putt in 72 holes. His Bettinardi Kuchar Arm Lock 2 putter also helped him convert 62/65 putts (95.4%) inside of 10 feet on the week.
“When Matt and I teamed up to build the Arm Lock putter, we were looking for a way to simplify the putting stroke by taking the hands out of play” said President/CEO Robert Bettinardi. “The Arm Lock putting method eliminates the hands, which are usually the root of all evil in the putting stroke, and allows the player to putt with the muscles of the back and shoulders. Using the large muscles while putting allows for maximum consistency; Matt’s consistent play has allowed him to become one of the best players in the world.”
About Matt Kuchar: Matt Kuchar earned more the $4.6 million on the PGA Tour in 2014, and finished inside the top 10 eleven times. Kuchar ranked inside the top 15 in 3 putt avoidance, strokes gained putting, and total putting. His victory at the 2014 RBC Heritage was his 7th win on the PGA Tour.
