The International makes it easier than ever to play two championship 18-hole courses and enjoy world-class hospitality
Bolton, Mass. (January 27, 2015) – A vocal proponent of the evolution of the traditional “club” into a more inclusive lifestyle destination for entertaining, dining, imbibing, and more, The International announces major changes to membership for the 2015 season. Situated on 600 acres at the base of the Nashoba Valley, The International boasts two, 18-hole championship golf courses consistently ranked the best in New England, a 50-room lodge, The Fireplace Room restaurant helmed by original Boston celebrity chef Tony Ambrose, and several meeting and event spaces capable of accommodating thousands of guests.
New membership plans and pricing, designed to open up membership to a wider audience who may not have considered The International a viable financial option, include:
• Monthly Payment Plans – The International is one of the few premier golf courses in New England to allow members to pay their annual dues in monthly installments, rather than a large sum up front at the first of the year
• New Plans – The Generational Family Membership allows the family members (parents, children, children’s spouses, and grandchildren) of existing members to be added as members at a reduced rate of 50% of the normal dues.
• Lower Dues – With the introduction of new membership plans, the annual dues for many age groups have been lowered. For example, the annual dues of $7,725 single/$8,240 couple have been lowered for the following membership plans:
o Young Professional (21 – 29) $2,500 single/$3,200 couple
o Young Executive (30 – 39) $4,000 single/$5,000 couple
o Master (70 – 75) $5,725 single/$6,240 couple
o Silver (76+) $3,492 single/$4,500 couple
• No Initiation Fee – The days of charging high initiation fees to new members are officially over at The International.
While 2015 sees the return of The Oaks course to a member-only offering like The Pines course, there are still a number of the property’s features that remain open to the public, including one intriguing option that allows the public onto the private courses. These features include:
• Fireplace Room – With seasonal menus from celebrity chef Tony Ambrose, the Fireplace Room restaurant is open to the public for lunch and dinner year-round. It is also available for private parties and special events, complete with custom menus.
• Stay & Play – An exceptional package (starting at $250/night) includes overnight accommodations at the Lodge, a round of golf on The Oaks or The Pines, and a continental breakfast overlooking The Pines course.
• Meeting & Event Space – The International’s portfolio of special event space is open to the public year-round for corporate retreats, golf tournaments, weddings, rehearsal dinners, mitzvahs, anniversary parties, birthdays, and anything else you can think of a reason to celebrate!
About The International
Founded on the original grounds of a nine-hole golf course built in 1899, The International was purchased from Starwood Hotels & Resorts by Concord, Massachusetts residents Daniel and Florence Weadock in 1999. Under their stewardship, The International underwent major expansions, including the hiring of leading golf architect Tom Fazio to build The Oaks, a new, sloping 18-hole semi-private course carved out of primeval forest. Their son, Dan Weadock Jr., took over day-to-day operations in 2005 and has been leading a massive business transformation program ever since, repositioning The International from a quiet, private enclave to a world-class golf and special-event destination. The International is now comprised of two world-class golf courses (The Pines is private; The Oaks is semi-private), the year-round Fireplace Room Restaurant, on & off-site catering, a special event venue with three unique spaces, and a 50-room on-site hotel. 159 Ballville Road | Bolton, MA 01740. http://theinternational.com/.
