Even the world’s No. 1 golfer, Rory McIlroy, isn’t immune to bad days on the links, but one of Amazon’s best-selling books has developed a way to improve everyone’s gold game while becoming super fit.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – March 9th, 2015 – Rory McIlroy threw his golf club in a water hazard after having a less than stellar day at the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Friday (March 5), but thanks to Christian Henning’s book, Golf Fitness: Core to Score, golfers have hope in overcoming bad days buy upping their fitness level and strengthening their core.
“A strong core, good balance, and flexibility are essential to enhancing performance for your golf game,” said Henning, who is also a certified personal trainer and golf enthusiast. “The core goes deeper than just your ab muscles. I view the core as a cohesive unit working together that encompasses the hips, glutes, obliques, upper and lower abs, hamstrings, quads, low back as well as the spinae erectors to name just a few.”
Many golfers, according to Henning, often times become frustrated when their golf game is off for whatever reason, but added that having a strong core is one of the elements that can help prevent bad days.
As for McIlroy’s throw, it came after he hit his ball in the water on the second shot of the par-5 eighth hole at Trump National Doral’s Blue course.
McIlroy’s game wasn’t over, though. He trudged on, per ESPN: After taking a drop, he hit the next one on the green and two-putted for bogey. And through those eight holes, he had made three birdies and three bogeys to stand 1 over par for the tournament.
“Regardless of what kind of day golfers have on the golf course or what level of golfer they are, the good news is that there’s always a way to bounce back,” Henning said.
Henning went on to explain that Golf Fitness: Core to Score empowers golfers with the key to unlocking more power and core golf training. It also provides golfers with a proven way to shed pounds to shave strokes:
“Lose fat equals lower scores,” Henning stressed, before adding, “It gives you an edge over competitors, buddies, and the golf course.”
Henning pointed out that a sound program to enhance golf performance should include: Range of motion, flexibility, balance, strength, and power
“Further, we must also work on our balance so that all the power we create is effectively transferred to the ball,” Henning said, before adding, “If we are falling over sideways, forwards, or backwards, power is being wasted. Quite simply, we may be strong and have a great range of motion, but are unable to transfer that power to the ball.”
Golf Fitness: Core to Score, Henning noted, has proven results with thousands of golfers tested and quality feedback received.
In fact, one customer identified as Gary Chmielewski described the book as a fabulous program.
“It builds up your strength, power, endurance, and flexibility in a graded program. Just follow the steps and stick with it and you will see results,” Chmielewski said.
A second customer identified as Paul Roch agreed with Chmielewski’s sentiments, saying Core to Score is the one that put him in the best shape and helped him the most.
“I would recommend this workout to everyone who considers themselves a serious and or casual golfer,” Roch said. “Follow the workouts and you will not only have more stamina, but also more endurance and you will be out hitting all of your buddies.”
