RM-21 wedge, Type 7 utility iron pace stellar play on two tours
IRVINE, Calif. (March 9, 2015) – Fourteen Golf, one of the industry’s premier golf club manufacturers, turned in a remarkable weekend showing, being in the bags of seven golfers who finished in the Top 24 in three tournaments across two tours.
“Day in and day out, we strive for excellence at Fourteen Golf,” said Marcy Kamoda, the company’s COO. “From a pair of Top 10 finishes at the Puerto Rico Open to John Mallinger’s fourth place showing on the Web.com Tour, we are proving ourselves as one of the best club manufacturers on the market today. Our clubs deliver on the course, and they are suited to reward the game’s best players and bolster the play of everyday golfers.”
At the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral Country Club in Miami, Fl., the versatile Type 7 club was in the bag of the golfer who finished T12. Known as the “Blue Monster,” Doral is one of the longest courses on the PGA TOUR, and the Type 7 utility iron provided the added distance to help him go after the lengthy par fives.
The RM-21 was a popular choice at the Puerto Rico Open, sitting in the bag of three players who finished in the Top 20, including Fourteen Golf brand ambassador Chad Collins, who finished T16.
The RM series is one of Fourteen Golf’s most popular and successful wedge series, and the latest evolution is the RM-21, which was named to Golf Digest’s Hot List earlier this year. The RM-21 already has enjoyed ample success on the PGA TOUR in 2015, including multiple players putting it in play at the Northern Trust Open and the Honda Classic in the past few weeks.
On the Web.com Tour, Mallinger finished with a four-round total of four-under-par 284 to pick up a Top Four finish at the Cartagena de Indias at Karibana Championship presented by Prebuild.
