CHICAGO, IL, MARCH 24, 2015: OBAN’s Kiyoshi shaft line continues to perform on Tour, posting a Web.com tournament victory at the Chile Classic held at the Club de Golf Mapocho in Santiago, Chile this past weekend. The champion played OBAN’s Kiyoshi White 75 X shaft in his TaylorMade R15 driver, a Kiyoshi Gold 75 X in his TaylorMade AeroBurner 3-wood, and a Kiyoshi Purple 100 X in his Adams Pro hybrid. The 32-year-old South African fired a final round 6-under 65 on Sunday, clinching his first Web.com Tour title by two strokes.
“It is immensely gratifying to see Tour players validate the performance characteristics of our Kiyoshi shafts,” commented Ralph Reichert, OBAN’s Senior VP Sales & Marketing. “We’ve had a solid start to the 2015 season with multiple tournament wins and top ten finishes.” Released in 2013, the Kiyoshi White is ideal for players seeking a mid ball launch and lower spin. The shaft is produced using OBAN’s breakthrough MultiPlex Design Technology (MPT) to effectively combine a softer butt section with a stiff tip and mid-section, reducing ovalization and stabilizing the shaft at impact.
