iPhone golf app boasts game improvement tools, excellent scorecard and social features
Koerve, Inc., one of golf’s most cutting-edge technology companies, has announced the release of a new app that provides a host of interactive features aimed to enhance one’s game. 80BREAKR will serve as a virtual coach, offering game planning options, voice-activated score entry, full integration with multiple social media platforms and post-play analysis from each round.
The 80BREAKR golf app costs $14.99 and includes all features. In honor of its launch, the price is only $3.99 to the first 1,000 customers and Koerve will donate $1 of every download through April to support the SEAL Legacy Foundation, which is dedicated to provide support services for members of the U.S. Navy SEALS and their families.
80BREAKR functions as a personal caddy with a planning module that enables golfers to plot the steps necessary to break their own scoring goals. Players can add reminders and budget types of shots needed to break personal scoring goals.
Other innovative features include the voice-activated score entry, a link to 80BREAKR’s USGA club-licensed handicap service and automatic course handicap calculation. Users can view stroke play, match play, or no competition versions of the scorecard at any time during a round.
At $27.95, the 80BREAKR USGA club-certified handicap service is being offered at the lowest price in the market and features a 365-day handicap, rather than one from a calendar year.
The game improvement component is integrated with the scorecard and lets the user shift back and forth between the scorecard and improvement functions. This allows the player to keep close tabs on each shot from each round, and then be able to look back to analyze each swing when finished.
80BREAKR includes golf course details for almost 30,000 golf courses worldwide with more added monthly. One can also add any courses not already programmed in the app.
Equipped to work with the iPhone and iPod Touch (fifth generation), 80BREAKR golf app can be used without data plans and allows for a dedicated device to become part of a golfer’s standard set of tools. It also will be available for other mobile devices and smartphones in the coming months.
