CHICAGO, IL, MARCH 31, 2015: OBAN’s Kiyoshi White shaft posts a second straight Web.com tournament victory at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open held at Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club in Broussard this past weekend. The 26-year old winner played OBAN’s Kiyoshi White 65 X shaft in his Callaway XR driver. The former US Amateur champion fired a 6-under 65 to overtake the lead on Sunday, capturing his first career Web.com tour victory.
“It was quite an outing for OBAN,” commented Josh Shook, OBAN PGA Tour Representative. “We had 23 shafts in play during the tournament, and ended up with 4 players finishing in the top ten.” Released in 2013, the increasingly popular Kiyoshi White is ideal for players seeking a mid ball launch and lower spin. The shaft is produced using OBAN’s breakthrough MultiPlex Design Technology (MPT) to effectively combine a softer butt section with a stiff tip and mid-section, reducing ovalization and stabilizing the shaft at impact.
