Spieth finishes tied for 11th; leads in Putting Average, Putts per Round
WIXOM, Mich. – The patented parallel technology of SuperStroke’s putter grips helped a total of 11 players finish in the Top 20 across three tours, including three players who finished in the Top 10.
At the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, S.C., four players playing SuperStroke putter grips finished in the Top 20 including the second place finisher who played SuperStroke’s Flatso 1.0.
Jordan Spieth, who also plays the Flatso 1.0, followed up his win at Augusta with a tie for 11th place at Hilton Head. For the season Spieth has a total of seven Top 10 finishes including two wins in 11 tournaments. The No. 2 player in the Official World Golf Rankings ranks first in Putting Average with a 1.673 average, first in Putts per Round with an average of 27.45, fifth in overall putting average with a 1.525 average, and is seventh in Strokes Gained-Putting with a gain of total gain of 20.981 putts through 31 measured rounds.
The Flatso line features SuperStroke’s patented parallel design technology and a patent pending pentagonal shape and flat top design. The parallel technology allows for even pressure in both hands, while eliminating added tension in the wrist and forearms. This helps the golfer’s arms swing more freely, which further enhances a pendulum-putting stroke making it easier to use the larger muscles in the arms and shoulders and minimizing one hand dominating the other.
“The characteristics of the Flatso line help inhibit wrist action and promote shoulder rotation for added consistency in your putting stroke,” said Greg Sabella, SuperStroke Vice President of Marketing. “The pentagonal shape allows for increased repeatability and consistency due to its wider flat front and multiple edges. It gives players looking for the feel of a pistol grip option, but in the SuperStroke line.”
Three players finished in the Top 20 at the Shenzhen International playing SuperStroke grips including the third place finisher who carded three 69s on the final three days to finish one stroke off the leader. At the El Bosque Mexico Championship, four players finished in the Top 20 playing SuperStroke grips.
