According to Stuart Lindsay of Edgehill Golf Advisors, log-ins on the Cognilogic “cloud based” weather site have dramatically increased over the past 6 months. Our users are averaging well over 1 log-in per month. Most of our clients have used Cognilogic to track their monthly performance versus the weather from the beginning; but many are discovering that they can use the data during the month to get a more current picture of weather impact. Since the data for their local weather station is updated daily; Cognilogic gives both a month to date total for the current month (compared to two previous years and 10 year Average) and a daily recap of weather adjusted capacity for each individual day of the current month.
“We get a real fast read on current month performance”, said one client who uses the service on multiple courses. “Stuart explained these features when we first signed up, and when we realized how easy these tools are to use, we started logging in much more often.”
Pellucid and Edgehill created the innovative Cognilogic cloud based platform with the help of Kevin Moore Software in 2011. Since then, we have activated almost 270 WeatherBank US and Canadian reporting stations covering thousands of courses in North America.
