Orlando, Fla. – Is there a brain surgeon in the house? Well, as matter of fact there was!

Our annual North Florida PGA University featured a diverse set of topics and speakers!

We started off with Dr. Bob Winters along with his esteemed specialists Dr. Charles Adler and Dr. Robert Warren to discuss the yips! They explained what causes them, their diagnosis and treatments. It was very interesting and enlightening! Steve Whidden, PGA and John O’Leary, PGA presented their teaching tactics and best practices in the afternoon. Connie Charles then presented ImapMyGolf and how it can identify customer traits and needs, then the best tactics to act upon them. David Nel from FlightScope ended day one with his presentation on how to use the numbers from FlightScope to help your golfers improve and be properly fit for equipment.

Day two began with a Rules of Golf Session with Tony Austin, PGA and Jennifer Borocz, PGA to discuss a few of the more complicated rules and decisions. Past President Tony Johnson, PGA shared his wealth of experience in facility finance and turnaround strategies. Jamie Miller, PGA then shared his experience with Disney and how they deliver world class service and provide customers the best memories. Mikko Rantanen and Antii Hiltunen flew in for a session about their new GolfGameBook app which is growing fast in Europe. We finished with Kevin Baker, PGA from Reunion Resort to discuss his merchandising strategies and best practices. It was a great couple days of learning and fun.
