Romeoville, IL – The accolades continue for Mistwood Golf Club near Chicago.
Following a year in which the golf course received recognition as one of the nation’s best new renovations, and the club was cited for having one of the Top 50 Ranges in the country, Golf Digest has selected Mistwood’s new Performance Center as one of America’s 100 Best Clubfitters in America for 2015.
Golf Digest’s third annual ranking of the top clubfitters can be found in the May issue, as well as online at GolfDigest.com, and in the new GolfDigestix digital version.
Nominations were received from more than 700 locations across the country. The 100 best were selected based on the facility being accessible to the public, offering an array of clubs from top manufacturers and earning high marks from course rating panelists and industry sources. Golf Digest stated that the 2015 rankings highlight facilities in 40 states, from mega-size national chain stores to mobile-fitting vans.

High-tech teaching aides like TrackMan, the GC2 Smart Camera System, a SAM Putt Lab and the Quintic ball motion putting analysis system make the center one of the best equipped game improvement facilities in the country. The “Online Academy” also allows a golfer to review a lesson online because lessons are videotaped and archived.
“The technology we have is the same equipment being used by players on the PGA Tour,” certified clubfitter and PGA professional Chris Ioriatti said. “This technology allows us to combine proper club fitting with instruction creating the most dynamic situation possible.”
The 5,000 square-foot Mistwood Performance Center, located at the south end of the practice range, sets the tone for the golfers looking to improve their games through custom club fitting and lessons. The Performance Center gets down to business with 11 climate-controlled stations, two indoor heated bays for year-round fittings and analysis, 32 outdoor stations, the putting lab, and a repair and club-building center. To complete the experience the Performance Center also features a bar, restaurant, and “Turf Room” with amazing views of the range and golf course.
