Palm Springs, CA – April 23, 2015 – On April 16, 2015 the AFGL published its first national online publication, This is FootGolf. As the compliments are rolling in, the AFGL proudly introduces the key people behind this first-of-a kind publication:

Publisher: Roberto Balestrini

Editor: Harvey Silverman

Creative Director: Juan M. Fernandez

Contributing Editor and President of the AFGL: Laura Meier Balestrini

Roberto Balestrini is the founder of the AFGL and publisher of This is FootGolf Magazine. Harvey Silverman has 20 years’ experience in the golf industry and most recently was a widely read Contributing Editor of the Pellucid Perspective. Juan Fernandez is an award-winning graphic designer and helped initiate the first FootGolf facility in the United States. Laura Balestrini is the lovely wife of Roberto, president of the AFGL, and a board member of the Federation of International FootGolf (FIFG).

“The launch of This is FootGolf is a huge step forward for the AFGL in its efforts to introduce and promote a new sport to American sports enthusiasts,” says publisher Roberto Balestrini. “In coming issues we’ll feature local as well as international FootGolf players, events, and facilities in a colorful and entertaining format that’s easy to read, share, and participate in. The addition of Harvey Silverman and Juan Fernandez to our team gives us the first-class talent we were looking for to create and communicate the best publication of any sport.”

Editor Harvey Silverman added, “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to help ignite and grow a phenomenon from which golf course facilities are seeing immediate acceptance and business growth. I may not be a big soccer fan, but I am a big fan of ideas that can help golf course operators find new ways to attract new customers and generate new revenue. FootGolf does this better than anything I’ve seen in my 20 years in the golf business.”

Finally, Creative Director Juan Fernandez says, “Soccer has been my sport of a lifetime, and like many other former players FootGolf gives me an opportunity to rediscover old skills and use them in a new game. To also be a part of introducing this game and lending my artistic and marketing talents to promoting it is a dream come true.”
