Intermediate and advanced platforms founded on ‘winning approach’ that made
Annika a 10-time major champion
(ORLANDO, Fla.) – The ANNIKA Academy – Hall-of-Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam’s boutique golf instruction and fitness school – is now accepting applications for its 2015 Summer Junior Golf Camps.
A mainstay on the Academy’s annual program calendar, the Summer Junior Golf Camp offers four week-long sessions: June 15-19, June 22-26, July 6-10 and August 10-14. All will take place at the Academy’s state-of-the-art Reunion Resort facility and feature veteran instructors like Charlotta Sorenstam, the Academy’s Head Teaching Professional and former LPGA and NCAA champion; and Kai Fusser, Annika’s personal trainer for more than a decade.
“Our Summer Junior Golf Camp is a great way for kids to stay active while also receiving exceptional swing, mental and fitness training from our fun and supportive team,” says Shawn Thorimbert, Director of Operations at the ANNIKA Academy. “Players will be taught many of the same techniques that made Annika the greatest golfer of her generation.”
Programming will be tailored to Advanced (12 handicap or lower) and Intermediate skill levels (13 handicap or higher and regular experience playing nine holes). The Advanced platform will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily; the Intermediate is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Both offer full-swing and short-game coaching, a rules and etiquette seminar, on-course instruction, exercise tips and closing awards ceremony.
The Advanced program will also feature video swing analysis, club check-ups in the Callaway Performance Center, “how to practice” tips, course management advice, fitness and nutrition training, lunch each day and a nine-hole tournament.
Rates begin at $750 (Intermediate) and $1,500 (Advanced) per camper.
