NEW YORK, May 7th, 2015 – Morell Studios supported the Westchester Golf Association and Caddie Scholarship Fund at the Annual Meeting held at Old Oaks Country Club. Morell Studios entered into the agreement with the Westchester Golf Association to collaborate with its membership and expand the company’s presence in the Northeast. About The Westchester Golf Association
The Westchester Golf Association (WGA), founded in 1916, is a membership organization comprised of nearly eighty private golf and country clubs in nine counties. Spanning Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, Westchester, the Bronx, and Fairfield, Conn., the WGA is rich in beautiful courses and history. Through the courtesy of these member clubs, the WGA administers approximately twenty-five tournaments and special events each golfing season. These events give players of all levels the opportunity to participate in professionally run tournaments.
Since 1956, the Westchester Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund has provided need-based college scholarships to students who work in service to golf at WGA member clubs. This year, the Fund has awarded close to $1,000,000 in scholarship aid to 283 students. In total, 2,425 students have received over $10,000,000 in scholarships.
