(New York, NY, May 15, 2015) – VPAR Live Scoring (www.vpar.com) is making news in the United States this season via its golf-experience-enhancing app, and it continues to expand both its dedicated users and global reach.
The Your Golf Travel Championship, Powered by VPAR launches Monday, May 18, at Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire, U.K. This is an event for Your Golf Travel’s best clients and VPAR’s most active users. However, Championship competition and submitted scores will begin for all others June 1.
Your Golf Travel clients play hundreds of thousands of rounds annually and, in working with VPAR, they are now connected into one summer long live tournament. Using VPAR’s award winning app technology, pairs of golfers will pit themselves against each other to find the best amateur team in Europe.
The new tournament concept is free to enter and allows players to track their scores against their peers from any course across Europe on real-time leader boards that run throughout the summer. At the end of October, the top pairs will be invited to an expenses-paid final round at the Gary Player Mazagan Morocco Golf Course.
By scoring a round on the award-winning VPAR app, player scores will be automatically integrated into leaderboards displaying live where they stand on that course and in the overall championship. Pairs can enter as many times as they wish and at any time.
A U.S. version of the VPAR Championship virtual tournament is planned for this year as well.
Your Golf Travel has also partnered with Golf Monthly, Sketchers and Cleveland & Srixon Golf offering the latest equipment in giveaways and challenges on a monthly basis throughout the Championship. These challenges include: most rounds played, most birdies, best net and gross scores on par 3s, 4s and 5s plus prizes for sending in the best chipping videos or team pictures.
How to enter:
Golfers download VPAR from the App Store or Google Play Store, click on the competition logo, create a team with friends and score their round. Entry is free and all participants receive VPAR Plus, the premium app service (RRP £6.99, $8.99 in the U.S.).
