MEMPHIS, Tenn. (May 18, 2015) – With Project X, the winner of the Wells Fargo Championship dominated the field at Quail Hollow this past weekend and continued to prove why he has been the No. 1 player in the world since last August.
The 26-year-old winner broke course records throughout the weekend, starting with a 61 in the third round, followed by 27 birdies during the tournament and then a seven stroke victory-breaking the tournament scoring record by five strokes. Three of the top five finishers at the Wells Fargo Championship had Project X in the bag, the winner, and the T2 and T4 finishers.
“Congrats to this weekend’s winner on an incredible performance at Quail Hollow,” said Paul Loegering, PGA TOUR manager for True Temper Sports. “He not only dominated the field, but completely mastered the course. We are honored that Project X continues to be the shaft he chooses to play in his irons and wedges, and hope to see him in many more winner’s circles this season.”
