OnCore Golf is thrilled to announce that they will be participating in the 2015 Jim Kelly Celebrity Golf Classic at Terry Hills on June 1st. OnCore is the official sponsor of the long drive contest which will be held before this year’s Caddyshack-themed tournament kicks off. Players will compete against members of past and present Buffalo Bills teams and winners will receive OnCore merchandise including the company’s MA-1.0 golf balls. These patented, USGA-conforming hollow metal core golf balls are the most accurate distance balls in the game. OnCore will also be offering up items for the silent auction, as well as greeting golfers on the 24th hole.
Cofounder Steve Coulton said, “One of the reasons we really wanted to be involved with this tournament was the opportunity to give back to an organization like Kelly for Kids. We will be set up by the registration table with Kelly Tough logo golf balls. A portion of all proceeds will be going directly back to Kelly for Kids. We are hoping that this provides a significant amount of additional funding for this wonderful charity.”
NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly added: “I’m very pleased to have an organization like OnCore involved with our event. In addition to being co-founders of a Buffalo-based company, Bret and Steve have demonstrated that their passion is not just about making golf a more enjoyable game for everyone, but using their company to give back to others and improve the quality of life for others who are less fortunate. Combining that attitude with a winning product is a formula for success, in my book.”
“Being a life-long Bills fan, I am excited to see all the players bring their athletic prowess to the golf course” said Bret Blakely, cofounder of OnCore Golf. “Even more importantly, the tournament this year is about more than just a good time for a good cause. It is a celebration of what Jim Kelly has overcome this past year, what his attitude and outlook represents, and his impact on the community.
