Science & Motion Sports today congratulated second time PGA Tour winner Steven Bowditch. Bowditch won just 14 months ago for the first time shortly after acquiring his own SAM PuttLab 5.
Bowditch lead the AT&T Byron Nelson wire to wire and Sunday put on a classic display of clutch putting making putt after putt from outside what some would consider a high percentage zone. He finished the event with an astonishing 4.429 Strokes Gained Putting and in 1st place in that category. His Putts Per GIR 1.577 average for the event but a Sunday best of 1.455 helped propel him to the finish with the shortest of tap in putts to win by a solid margin of 4 strokes over the field.
The story takes on even more meaning as we all now know Steven and his lovely wife Amanda were married at the TPC Four Seasons Resort and had their wedding photos taken on the same 18th green where he Sunday sealed his second victory. The Dallas resident must like Texas as his first victory which came last year was at the Valero Texas Open.
