BELLINGHAM, Wash. – SteelFiber shafts by Aerotech Golf, the No. 1 graphite iron shaft in golf, scored a Top 10 Triple-play, landing top money positions on three top U.S. Tours. SteelFiber and Claymore shafts combined for a T3 and T7 at the Senior Players Championship on the Champions Tour, a T9 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship on the LPGA, and a T5 at the Rust-Oleum Championship on the Web.com Tour
Playing SteelFiber shafts in his hybrids, one veteran pro fired off a stellar 86.11 percent greens in regulation and a T3 finish, while a second senior scored a T7 with a combination set of SteelFiber i95 and i110 irons and a Claymore wood shaft in his Callaway 2-wood). On the LPGA Tour, the Swedish-born pro played SteelFiber i95 shafts in her irons for a ninth-place finish; and the No. 2 ranked player on the Web.com Tour captured a share of fifth-place playing SteelFiber i110 shafts in his irons.
“We congratulate all of these players on their strong finishes this weekend,” says Chris Hilleary, president of Aerotech Golf.” Unlike any other shafts in golf, SteelFiber graphite irons shafts deliver game-changing performance benefits for players of all skill levels. SteelFibers provide greater vibration dampening and reduces player fatigue, as well as increased clubhead speed and accuracy. The Claymore, a low-torque, super-lightweight, filament-wound shaft, is also developing a strong following. The Claymore is shaft specifically engineered to provide extreme stability and consistency – even during the most powerful golf swings – and it has become a real favorite among players with very high clubhead speeds.”
SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. The shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.
In 2014, SteelFiber shafts delivered seven wins – three on the PGA Tour and two each on the Champions and LPGA Tours. The previous tour season was equally successful with SteelFiber chalking up five wins on the PGA TOUR and two more on the Champions Tour. Players with SteelFiber shafts routinely rank high on the PGA Money List, Official World Golf Rankings and the FedEx Cup Season Points. In 2013, for example, SteelFiber players ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the FedEx Cup Season Points and ended overall as No. 3 and No. 5 on the PGA Money List.
