Golfing families are invited for a fun day of free golf activities & instruction;
annual event to take place at Marriott Golf Academy
PALM DESERT, Calif. – June 29, 2015… Golfers of all ages and abilities are invited to join their family members and experience the true meaning of “togetherness on the links,” highlighted by FREE golf activities and instruction. Marriott’s Shadow Ridge Golf Club, located at Marriott’s Shadow Ridge Resort in Palm Desert, Calif., today announced its annual Family Golf Festival will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2015, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Marriott Golf Academy, located at 9002 Shadow Ridge Rd., Palm Desert, Calif.
The Marriott Family Golf Festival, which encourages parents and children to learn and play the game together, invites families to the facility for a fun-filled day of free golf instruction and activities. Attendees will enjoy exciting games and contests for golfers of all skill levels, highlighted by a putting contest at 9:00 a.m., along with a one-hour clinic (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) conducted by Marriott Golf Academy Certified Instructor Mike Ellis. Families will have the chance to win a variety of prizes throughout the day, including rounds of golf, dynamic club fittings and instructional sessions.
In addition, after 3 p.m., families and children can play golf for free as part of Marriott Golf’s popular “Kids Golf-4-Free” program. Launched in 2006, “Kids Golf-4-Free” is a first-of-its-kind program that enables kids up to 15 years old to golf for free when accompanied by a full paying adult after 3 p.m. In addition, Marriott Golf offers free lessons anytime to kids up to 15 years old when accompanied by an adult who is taking a fully paid lesson from a Marriott Golf instructor.
