Runner-up also uses SuperStroke for his best PGA Tour finish since 2012
WIXOM, Mich. – The road to his 4th win of 2015 was unconventional for the reining Masters and US Open champion, needing a few extra holes to continue his storybook season. With a par on the second playoff hole, Jordan Spieth won the John Deere Classic for the second time in his last 3 trips to the event. The John Deere was the site of Jordan’s first PGA Tour victory back in 2013 where he became the youngest PGA Tour winner since 1931.
After day one of the event Jordan sat at even par, 101st overall. Initially scrambling to just make the cut, Spieth did the unthinkable – a Friday 64 followed up by a Saturday 61, his lowest round shot on tour to date.
Using the Flatso 1.0, Jordan led the John Deere field in Putts per GIR (1.538) and further extended his FedEx Cup points lead. His 3,628 FedEx Cup points are a new season record.
The attention now turns to Scotland where Spieth looks to claim his third-straight Major championship title at St. Andrews. He is looking to become only the second player ever to win the first three Majors in a year.
SuperStroke’s patented parallel technology design allows for even pressure in both hands, eliminating wrist movement in the putting stroke. This helps the golfer swing the putter more freely, making it easier to use the big muscles in the arms and shoulders, and minimizes one hand dominating the other.
SuperStroke (www.superstrokeusa.com) grips are long lasting and extremely shock absorbent. They are designed with a high-tech polyurethane material featuring cross traction technology that improves feel and tackiness. Combined with SuperStroke’s patented parallel technology further increases consistency and lowers scores for every level of golfer, even professionals.
