Celebrities Join Forces To Support American Cancer Society Golf Tournament

July 15, 2015

Cobblestone Park hosts NFL’s Justin Bethel, singer/songwriter Patrick Davis

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — (July 13, 2015) – Cobblestone Park Golf Club plays host to the first annual Justin Bethel & Patrick Davis Pro-Am Fore the Cure golf tournament to raise funds for the American Cancer Society on July 20-21. The tournament will feature professional athletes, country and rock ‘n’ roll celebrities, and world-renowned coaches paired with amateur golfers to play one of the state’s highest-ranked golf courses.

“Justin and Patrick – both hometown celebrities – are strongly committed to supporting the American Cancer Society and we agreed to host this event here at Cobblestone Park. We hope this event will become an annual tradition,” said Tom Graber, general manager of Cobblestone Park. “This is an opportunity for athletes, entertainers and celebrities from their circle of friends to come play our course for a great cause.”

The two-day event features a Monday-morning practice round and an exclusive evening event for sponsors and participants at The Music Farm. Tuesday’s four-man scramble tournament will be followed by a reception and awards presentation.

Bethel, NFL Pro Bowler and cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals, grew up in Columbia and played football for Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. He is the college’s first-ever Pro Bowler. Country rock singer/songwriter Davis grew up in Camden and has written songs recorded by Jewel, Darius Rucker, Jimmy Buffett and Lady Antebellum. He currently lives in Nashville.
