Daleville, VA – Kudos to Middle Atlantic PGA Professional Peter Gardner, General Manager at Ashley Plantation in Daleville, Virginia who hosted the inaugural Honor Tour Tournament on Saturday, July 11th. The proceeds of this event will provide 40 Roanoke Valley Veterans with an all-expense paid two-day trip to Washington, DC to visit our National War Memorial Monuments including the World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Arlington National Cemetery. The trip includes a guided tour, motor coach transportation, lodging and meals. 108 players entered the event including 30 Veterans. The trip itself will be in October. The tournament committee is now working on selecting the 40 Veterans to make the trip. One of the first criteria for selection is choosing those Veterans who have not had the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C. before.
