Detroit tech startup demonstrates all-inclusive application alongside more than 1,100 leading golf companies

DETROIT (August 5, 2015) – GOLFLER, a free, on-demand concierge app for players and courses, today announced its exhibit debut at the 2015 PGA Fashion & Demo Experience, Aug. 17-19, in Las Vegas, NV. One of more than 1,100 exhibitors at the event, GOLFLER will demonstrate how the app’s features – on-demand ordering, a state-of-the-art 3D rangefinder, live weather updates, digital scorecards and real-time direct messaging – will provide players with a more enjoyable golf experience, while also maximizing golf course bottom lines. Booth visitors can expect an engaging and interactive experience, complete with a drawing for a free tablet and even a visit from the GOLFLER Gopher.
“GOLFLER is thrilled to be a part of this year’s PGA Fashion and Demo Experience,” said Jason Pearsall, president and chief legal officer of GOLFLER. “The conference is the perfect launching pad for the application, and we’re excited to introduce golf enthusiasts to the industry’s next big breakthrough in course concierge services.”
Free to courses and players, GOLFLER is an all-inclusive, on-course mobile application that streamlines the industry’s most sought-after amenities. The software offers players on-demand access to course food and beverage menus, as well as equipment, for cart delivery during rounds at partnered courses. In addition, the app also houses a state-of-the-art 3D rangefinder, live weather updates, digital scorecards and real-time direct messaging. Courses benefit from satellite fairway views to easily resolve and prevent pace of play issues, the ability to wirelessly accept orders and route deliveries more efficiently, and golfer analytics. An intra-course messaging system also allows for two-way communication among employees and golfers throughout the course. Located at exhibit booth #235, GOLFLER representatives will be available at the event to demonstrate the application’s ease-of-use and its various features for players and courses. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the user interface and to interact with the software first-hand.
“Traditionally, courses have faced significant financial barriers related to up-to-date technology that prevents them from providing the types of services that GOLFLER is able to offer,” said Jordan Jones, vice president of corporate development at GOLFLER. “The fact that GOLFLER is free for courses and players makes it incredibly accessible and an essential addition to the everyday game. We’re confident that users will feel the same and we’re looking forward to gauging the audience’s feedback at the PGA Fashion and Demo Experience conference.”
The PGA Fashion & Demo Experience serves as a global platform for more than 40,000 of the industry’s leading PGA professionals, general managers, superintendents, owners and industry leaders to come together and visit with the latest vendors to discover new products, make purchases for the upcoming year and network with industry peers. Broadcast live by the Golf Channel every year, the event is one of the most highly attended annual golf shows globally. Other notable exhibitors scheduled to appear at this year’s conference include Under Armour, Callaway Golf Apparel, Wilson Golf and Amazon, among others.
