(HARRIS, Mich.) – Sweetgrass Golf Club adds to its wide array of after-golf offerings with the opening of T. McC’s Sports Bar at Island Resort & Casino.
Named in honor of the late Tom McChesney – former long-time general manager of the resort and a distinguished military veteran – T. McC’s is open daily from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. and ideal for watching sporting events with 31 television screens and 20 beers on tap.
With an assortment of local sports teams’ memorabilia adorning the walls, the new venue features full-service electronic gaming and an eclectic menu, including traditional and boneless chicken wings with a choice of 14 sauces and other favorites like jalapeno poppers, chicken quesadillas, burgers and more.
“T. McC’s is a wonderful tribute to Tom and gives our golfers, casino guests and locals another superb dining option,” says Tony Mancilla, General Manager of Island Resort & Casino. “It brings a unique look and feel with beautiful hardwood flooring in both dark and light shades and the atmosphere is fun and relaxing.”
Award-Winning Golf at a ‘Winning’ Fall Price

Beginning Sept. 21, 18-hole green fees are $45 – a near 50 percent savings off the regular rate – and include cart, GPS, yardage book and range balls.
The resort’s most popular golf package, the Perfect Foursome, starts at just $230 per person after Sept. 21 and includes a two-night stay and rounds of golf at Sweetgrass and nearby TimberStone and Greywalls, also ranked on Golfweek’s top-15 in the state. Various other package combinations – as short as one-night stay/one round of golf and as long as four-night stay/three rounds of golf – are also available.
Sweetgrass provides a dedicated on-site golf concierge and VIP Room where groups enjoy comfortable living room-style seating, private dinners, gaming tables, beverage service, televisions and direct access to the golf course, pro shop and open fire pit.
