Aldila RIP® On Top At WGC-Bridgestone Invitational

August 11, 2015

The winner of The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational drove to victory using Aldila’s RIP golf shaft (RIP Alpha 70 X). Players using the Aldila shafts have now won 25 events worldwide during the 2014/15 season. With results like these, there’s no surprise the Aldila continues to be the most popular shaft in play on Tour.

“The RIP employs patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform shaft design from the inside out,” said John Oldenburg, Aldila’s Vice President of Engineering. “Through the use of computer modeling technology and exclusive materials provided by the Aldila Materials Division, Aldila engineers were able to completely rethink golf shaft design and performance. The result is a revolutionary shaft with optimum flex and torque characteristics with incredible feel that continues to be tested and proven across the Tours week after week.”

RIP Technology™ repositions the materials and patterns to maximize the flexural and torsional performance characteristics of the carbon fiber. RIP Technology™ provides a shaft with lower torque, increased tip stability, and better tip stiffness control than any shaft made with similar materials employing a conventional ply configuration. PGA Tour tested, PGA Tour proven.

The revolutionary Aldila RIP is available in 2 launch profiles. The RIP Alpha design is a low-mid launch shaft promoting lower spin. The Beta model features a slightly softer tip for a higher ball flight. Both RIP models have a MSRP of $299.
