Perfect program to combine love of game with long weekend ‘Up North’ at Boyne Highlands
(PETOSKEY, Mich.) – BOYNE Golf – home to 11 premier golf courses spanning three resorts in the scenic northwest corner of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula – announces BOYNE Golf Academy’s “Couples Getaway Golf School” has two sessions remaining this year at Boyne Highlands Resort, August 13-14 and September 5-6.
With a low 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, the program offers six hours of instruction spread over two days. All facets of the game are covered – full-swing, pitching, chipping, putting, course management and rules. Full-swing video evaluation and ball-flight analysis using the state-of-the-art TrackMan system are also key to the program. Rates start at $899 per couple, with a $150 greens fee credit.
“With so many easily-accessible off-course attractions, it’s hard to beat BOYNE as a couples’ golf retreat,” says Brian O’Neill, director of golf instruction, BOYNE Golf Academy. “Award-winning spas, waterfront dining, sandy beaches, charming lakefront towns, comfortable summer-time temperatures and more combine to make us an ideal escape.”
Further evidencing BOYNE’s incomparability, BOYNE Golf Academy is home to GEARS Golf, the most-advanced full-swing club and body tracking platform. The Midwest’s only GEARS location uses full 3D technology to measure and analyze every swing nuance from address to follow through. Data is recorded using 26 sensors strategically placed at key spots on the body, plus six more sensors on the club, and eight high-speed cameras running at 36 frames per second.
Complementing BOYNE Golf Academy are 11 courses at BOYNE Golf’s three flagship resorts:
