What makes this different than other putting games?
At our current company, StrackaLine, we use 3D modeling lasers to scan the surface of putting greens from golf courses all around the world. Hundreds of courses have already been scanned, including most all of the current Pro Tour calendar venues.
The app and books we create with that data allow golfers to see the exact topography of all the slopes and breaks of the green and see the exact line for their putts. Tour caddies depend on this information every week to help give the best reads for their players. This product takes those real courses we have scanned, and challenges you to putt a real ball through infrared sensors to make the putts you see on the screen.
Swinging a video game controller or clicking on a bouncing arrow power meter cannot simulate the feel of a real golf club in your hand. And our database of digitized courses creates a much better experience for your office than putting into your coffee cup.
What types of courses can I play?
In addition to the real courses we’ve laser scanned, this game will also feature some classic Mini Golf type courses with windmills, bridges, and other obstacles. It is fun for everyone and a great way to introduce kids to golf!
If you play real golf, you can putt on famous courses like Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, or even international courses like the Golf Club of Milano in Italy. Our team is scanning new courses every week, so new courses will always be available for download directly to the game.
What types of games will I be able to play?
You can practice by yourself, or compete against friends in family in your home or office. Additionally, you can play on the Internet against other people.
We will also host tournaments where you can play competitively to win cash and prizes!
