The college senior won 7 and 6 in the finals at Olympic Fields Country Club

WIXOM, Mich. – Olympic Fields Country Club hosted the 115th U.S. Amateur Championship this past week. The eventual winner used the Legacy 3.0 on his way to a 7 and 6 victory, the largest in the past 16 years of the event. The Legacy 3.0 helped quiet the player’s wrist and forearms, helping him roll in numerous putts on his way to his historic victory. He becomes only the fifth golfer to win both the NCAA individual title and the U.S. Amateur title in the same year. Up next for the amateur standout is the Walker Cup, scheduled for September 12th and 13th at Royal Lytham and St Anne’s.

SuperStroke grips were also used on the PGA and Web.com Tours, helping seven players earn top-10 finishes. Five of those players competed in the Web.com’s News Sentinel Open in Knoxville, TN. Leading the way for SuperStroke was a second place finisher using the Legacy 2.0. This player finished the event third in Putts per GIR (1.623). Also using a Legacy 2.0 was a player finishing T-4 for the event. This player led the field in Putts per GIR with 1.168.

This week marks the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs. The four week playoff run begins in New Jersey at the Barclays, played at Plainfield CC.

SuperStroke’s patented parallel technology design allows for even pressure in both hands, eliminating wrist movement in the putting stroke. This helps the golfer swing the putter more freely, making it easier to use the big muscles in the arms and shoulders, and minimizes one hand dominating the other.

SuperStroke (www.superstrokeusa.com) grips are long lasting and extremely shock absorbent. They are designed with a high-tech polyurethane material featuring cross traction technology that improves feel and tackiness. Combined with SuperStroke’s patented parallel technology further increases consistency and lowers scores for every level of golfer, even professionals.
