BEAVERTON, Ore. – MyGolfSpy has crowned the Leupold® GX®-4i2 as the best laser rangefinder for 2015.
In keeping with its mission as “the Consumer Reports of golf,” the MyGolfSpy website conducted head-to-head testing of 12 laser rangefinders from top manufacturers. GX-4i2 won the title of “Golf’s Most Wanted Laser Rangefinder” after judges scored each contestant in the categories of accuracy, speed, optics and display.
“It’s a true honor to have our GX-4i2 picked as MyGolfSpy’s best laser rangefinder,” said Rob Morrison, vice president of global marketing for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Golfers from all corners of the world have also given high marks to the unit’s bright optics and quick measuring capability. The programmable features can help shave strokes off anyone’s game.”
A group of 12 testers evaluated the rangefinders. According to MyGolfSpy, “Testers were impressed with the speed and the bright display of the GX-4i2.” MyGolfSpy also cited the GX-4i2’s “extremely quick measuring capability; interchangeable face plates to convert between slope and non-slope configurations; and programmable features to adjust yardage for temperature and altitude, and to make club recommendations.” For more information on the test, visit www.mygolfspy.com/golfs-most-wanted-laser-rangefinder-2015.
GX-4i2 is the first slope-enabled rangefinder that can be configured to conform to Rule 14-3 and thereby used in USGA-sanctioned tournaments, or employed as a training aid for mapping courses, with adjustment for inclines and declines. The unit’s TGR® and Club Selector™ features provide accurate ranging information matched to the slope, atmospheric conditions and a golfer’s personal hitting strength for the shot.
Other key features include high-performance DNA® (Digitally eNhanced Accuracy) engine technology and an advanced infrared laser for faster measurements with accuracy displayed to the nearest 1/10th of a yard. Upgraded PinHunter® 2 Laser Technology makes it easier for golfers to find and stay on the pin. In addition, heightened sensitivity of the rangefinder’s Prism Lock Technology™ enables golfers to get their distances faster when a course is outfitted with prisms, speeding up pace of play.
