An avid golfer with a single-digit handicap, Holtz will appear every Friday talking college football and golf from a coach’s perspective
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 3, 2015 – College Football Hall-of-Fame coach and avid golfer Lou Holtz will join Golf Channel’s Morning Drive as a weekly contributor during the college football season, beginning Friday, Sept. 4.
An Orlando resident and a Lake Nona Golf & Country Club member, Holtz boasts a single-digit handicap and has recorded seven holes-in-one in his career. He will discuss and debate key storylines in golf and college football from a coach’s perspective on Morning Drive on Fridays this fall.
The only college football coach to lead six different programs to bowl games, including the 1988 national championship team at Notre Dame, Holtz has coached and mentored some of the greatest players in NFL history, including 2015 Pro Football Hall-of-Fame inductees – and avid golfers – Jerome Bettis and Tim Brown.
Holtz co-hosts three shows on SiriusXM – The Playbook and the SiriusXM College Football Tailgate Show on SiriusXM College Sports Nation. In addition, he hosts a weekly golf show on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio – Holtz in One.
Morning Drive is Golf Channel’s daily news and lifestyle show airing seven days a week beginning every morning from Studio AP at Golf Channel’s worldwide headquarters in Orlando, Fla.
