Stafford, VA- Lynne Hunter, Head PGA Professional at Kenwood Golf and Country Club in Bethesda, Md., has been elected as President of the Central Chapter of the Middle Atlantic PGA Section, effective September 8, 2015. Hunter, who has served as the Secretary and Vice President of the Central Chapter since 2013, will become the first female president of a Chapter within the Middle Atlantic PGA Section. “I am so excited to see Lynne Hunter take another huge leap forward in her career. She has added great insight and vision on the MAPGA Board of Directors over the last two years and I have no doubt she will continue to do so as Central Chapter President,” said Middle Atlantic PGA President John Madden.
Also serving as the chairman of the Middle Atlantic PGA Membership Committee, Hunter is vastly respected by her peers for her dedication and hard work within the Middle Atlantic PGA Section, all while succeeding in her full time position as Head PGA Professional at Kenwood Golf & Country Club. “Lynne is a highly motivated PGA Professional that truly cares for her fellow PGA professionals,” said Middle Atlantic PGA Executive Director Jon Guhl. “We are excited for her advancement to Chapter President and look forward to her fulfilling her role on behalf of the membership.” Previous to her Head PGA Professional job, Lynne was the assistant professional at Kenwood for 15 years. She earned her PGA membership in 2007. Hunter will succeed Josh Tremblay, Head PGA Professional at Springfield Golf and Country Club as the Central Chapter President as Tremblay will now now become the Honorary President.
