Angels Camp, CA (September 16, 2015) – Northern California’s top junior golfers will compete in the Junior Tour Fall Series VI at Greenhorn Creek Golf Course, October 3-4, 2015. More than 100 golfers, ages 10-18, have already registered to test their shot-making abilities that will be demanded by the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. redesigned golf course.
“The physical characteristics of Greenhorn Creek GC make it a fun and challenging round of golf for all levels of competitors,” says Allan Ramorini, PGA Head Professional at Greenhorn Creek. “This will be our 5th year hosting a NCGA Junior Tour event and we love having the kids and families here to experience the beauty of the Gold Country.”
The two-day, 36-hole Junior Tour Fall Series VI is run by the Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) and consists of four flights: Boy’s Championship (4.0 or lower index)’ Boy’s First (4.1 or higher); Girl’s Championship (6.0 or lower index); and Girl’s First (6.1 or higher index).
Some of the top players expected in this year’s field at Greenhorn Creek GC include Josh Sedono (Roseville), runner-up at the 2015 California Amateur Championship; two-time JTNC Player-of-the-Year, Jason Suh (San Jose) and the girl’s current points leader, Yoonhee Kim (San Ramon).
As a testament to the quality of golfers competing on the JTNC, Bryson DeChambeau (Clovis), the reigning NCAA Division I Individual champ and U.S. Amateur champ, earned JTNC Player of the Year honors in 2011.
