Blythewood, SC — (September 21, 2015) – What’s cooking at Cobblestone Park Golf Course? The semi-private club recently added Dennis Durkin as new Food and Beverage Manager. Additionally, the club will soon be introducing its new menu at Alexander’s at Cobblestone Park.
“Dennis brings extensive knowledge in both culinary development and management to Cobblestone Park, Alexander’s and our catering services,” said Tom Graber, general manager of Cobblestone Park. “He and Chef Lloyd (Spaulding) are already working side by side to enhance the dining experience here, including the introduction of a new menu later this fall.”
Durkin said that the new menu, expected in late October or early November, will feature fresh farm-to-table creations and a selection of items based around the healthy Mediterranean food concept. “Our goal is to broaden our offerings, introduce more healthy gourmet choices, and give area residents – both inside and outside the gates – a new and upscale dining experience in a fabulous setting,” Durkin said. “We will be introducing new salads, entrees and desserts over the coming months and we plan to offer fresh seasonal selections.”
With more than 30 years in the culinary business as a chef and in management, Durkin served as executive chef at several fine-dining and casual restaurants. His resort experience includes Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey, Michigan, The Burnt Island Bistro at Pine Bluff Resort in Curtis, Michigan, and Black Mountain Lodge in Cheboygan, Michigan. Most recently he served as executive chef and assistant club manager at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
