CHICAGO, IL, SEPTEMBER 21, 2015: OBAN’s recently released Kiyoshi HB High Balance shaft continues to perform on Tour, posting T2 and T7 finishes this past weekend in the second of four Tour Finals Series events. The Tournament runner-up played Kiyoshi HB 75 X shafts in his Nike Vapor driver and 3-wood at River Run Country Club in Davidson, North Carolina. The 27-year-old California native fired a final round 67 to tie for second at 14 under. Finishing tied for seventh, the 32-year-old South African also played OBAN’s Kiyoshi HB 75 X shaft in his TaylorMade SLDR driver.
“The Kiyoshi HB has had an immediate impact on Tour,” commented Josh Shook, OBAN Tour Representative. “Back to back top finishes substantiate the shaft’s superior performance and surging popularity among elite professional players.”
OBAN’s Kiyoshi HB (High Balance) affords custom fitters a wider range of options for optimizing club head weight and shaft length combinations that deliver greater speed and distance. OBAN engineers moved the shaft’s CG (center of gravity) toward the grip end of the club, creating a prime counter balance effect. The shaft design preserves symmetry and stability throughout the golf swing, maximizing energy transfer to the ball at impact.
