ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2015) – GolfNow (www.GolfNow.com) recently wrapped its “Play Ireland with Graeme” consumer sweepstakes, presented by Srixon/Cleveland Golf, as the second-most successful in the company’s history, attracting more than 1.3 million visits to GolfNow.com and awarding one lucky winner the opportunity to tee it up in Ireland with 2010 U.S. Open Champion and tour pro Graeme McDowell.
The 13-week promotion garnered 176,000 unique entries – second only to GolfNow’s “Free Golf for Life” sweepstakes earlier this year – and more than 5,000 first-time GolfNow users booked nearly 25,000 rounds of golf through the service as a result of the contest. Social media also contributed with more than 15,000 unique entries totaling an estimated 20 million-plus impressions, which more than doubled “Free Golf for Life” and accounted for 43 percent more sweepstakes entries via a Twitter hashtag.
“The variety of golf choices you can find by using GolfNow provides a clear reason why golfers are responding to our sweepstakes in record numbers,” said Jeff Foster, senior vice president of New Media, Golf Channel. “They get excited about new and unique experiences the game can offer, and we’re pleased that GolfNow can play a part in making those things possible.”
McDowell, a Srixon/Cleveland Golf brand ambassador, will invite the “Play Ireland with Graeme” sweepstakes winner, Zachary Senger from Decatur, Ill., and his guest to play a round of golf with him while attending the 2016 Irish Open as his guests. They also will be outfitted with Srixon/Cleveland Golf clubs and apparel.
