Island Resort and Casino golf stay-and-play resonates with discerning players

(HARRIS, Michigan) – Sweetgrass Golf Club – the award-winning golf amenity of Island Resort and Casino in the scenic Upper Peninsula 75 minutes from Green Bay – continues is rising-star trajectory with another successful season coming to fruition.

Its “Perfect Foursome” stay-and-play package increased sales again – this season by more than 5% — which sustains an unbroken run of rising sales for the popular, golfer-friendly offering since it debuted in 2008.

The resort’s most popular golf package, Perfect Foursome starts at $230 per person after Sept. 21 and includes a two-night stay and rounds of golf at Sweetgrass and nearby TimberStone and Greywalls, all three courses ranked by Golfweek as top-15 courses in golf-rich Michigan.

Various other package combinations – as short as one-night stay/one round of golf and as long as four-night stay/three rounds of golf – are also available.

“Guests and golfers tell us they choose Perfect Foursome because it affords them value and options,” said Island Resort and Casino General Manager Tony Mancilla. “They also appreciate our dedicated on-site golf concierge and VIP Room. This is a place where groups can enjoy comfortable living room-style seating, private dinners, gaming tables, beverage service, televisions and direct access to the golf course, pro shop and open fire pit.”

Sweetgrass has also been named a top course in the state by GOLF Magazine and annually hosts an annual Symetra Tour “Road to the LPGA” event – the Island Resort Championship.
